KidStrong cuts ribbon at Sun Prairie location in Prairie Lakes

Members of the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce on Friday, August. 30, 2024 joined staffers from the Sun Prairie KidStrong as well as City of Sun Prairie and chamber officials to cut the ribbon to open the Sun Prairie KidStrong located at 2828 Prairie Lakes Drive #104.

The new business — a science-based kids training program designed to help parents raise strong, confident, high-character kids — hosted a Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce Coffee Chat at the Shoppes at Prairie Lakes location earlier the same morning as the ribbon cutting event.

“I am here to welcome this business into the community,” said Sun Prairie Mayor Paul Esser. “We are fortunate in some areas. You might imagine, we have a lot of businesses coming into Sun Prairie, a lot of new businesses. And each one that comes in brings something new to the community that services people in the community. And this one that is especially important is they’re focused on the needs of kids in the community.”

Kaylee Delorey, Sun Prairie KidStrong general manager, thanked chamber members for coming to their location, and explained how KidStrong came to Sun Prairie.

“We can claim credit for making it come to Sun Prairie,” Delorey said, referring to her partner Lindsey Ollerman and herself. “The franchise — they do a lot of research, they're very careful about who they let franchise, and where they let you franchise, and all those kinds of things . . . we really went to bat for Sun Prairie versus starting out like in Middleton or in Milwaukee. And I was like, ‘no this, this community can support it, and it’s going to do amazing here and, and it’s a very supportive and and amazing community that people want to come to.’ ”

“We are stronger by the members that become engaged in our our business community,” said Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Christina Williams just before the ribbon was cut. “And we are just so thankful that you were willing to open your doors, share your facility, and that you're here in Sun Prairie.”
