Alder Faustina Bohling Resigns from City Council

Alder Faustina Bohling has submitted her resignation from the Sun Prairie City Council, effective Friday, April 12, to attend to personal family matters.

Bohling, who has represented District 4 since 2021, has been actively involved in various city commissions, committees, and boards throughout her time on council, including the Personnel Committee, Public Works Committee, Finance Committee, Sustainability Committee and Transit Commission.

“Faustina Bohling’s tenure on the city council has been marked by her service and dedication to the Sun Prairie community,” said Mayor Paul Esser. “We understand her decision to tend to personal matters and wish her the best in future endeavors.”

With Alder Bohling's departure, there is now a vacancy within the city council. Discussions regarding the process for appointment of a successor will take place during the Tuesday, April 16 Common Council meeting.
