Wellness Coalition | Lunch & Learn
Building Resilience | Strengthening Your Capacity to Thrive
Join us for an engaging Lunch & Learn session designed to help you build resilience and navigate the demands of both work and life with greater ease and intention. In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing environment, resilience is more than just “bouncing back” - it’s about developing the skills and mindset to adapt, grow, and thrive.
In this interactive workshop, Theresa Kim from University of Wisconsin - Madison’s Office of Human Resources will guide participants through research-backed strategies that strengthen the core components of resilience. Drawing from her work in leadership development, Theresa will explore how resilience is built through specific, learnable variables - and how intentionally developing these areas can lead to lasting personal and professional growth.
Participants will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of what resilience is and why it matters
- Learn about the key variables that contribute to resilience - and how to strengthen them
- Explore practical techniques to cultivate mindfulness in everyday life
- Discover strategies to create and maintain a healthier, more sustainable work-life balance
- Leave with actionable tools that can be applied immediately in both personal and professional settings
Theresa brings a wealth of experience as a program manager for Learning and Talent Development, where she leads the Fully Prepared to Lead program. Grounded in the UW Leadership framework, her approach emphasizes that leadership is an action - not a position - and integrates skill-building, meaningful connection, and coaching to empower individuals across all levels.
Whether you’re looking to better manage stress, enhance your well-being, or grow as a leader, this session will provide valuable insights and practical tools to support your journey.
Show Your Support for Mental Health
We also encourage you to show your support for mental health by wearing green on Fridays throughout May. Consider purchasing a Mental Health Matters t-shirt to help break the silence and promote mental wellness in our community.
Come ready to learn, reflect, and invest in your resilience.
