TWO INJURED IN MARKET STREET CRASH

Sun Prairie, WI - The Sun Prairie Police Department is investigating a traffic crash that occurred today at approximately 12:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Market Street.

The incident occurred as vendors were breaking down their booths following the Sun Prairie Farmers Market. A pickup truck associated with a catering company was delivering food to a nearby event venue. The truck struck a parked vehicle on the street and two farmers market vendors on the sidewalk.

Both victims were transported by Sun Prairie EMS to a local hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries. The driver was not injured.

The driver showed no signs of impairment. Current statements gathered show this was  accidental and nothing at this time suggests any intentional act. The investigation is ongoing  and no enforcement decisions have been made at this time.
