As part of state and national efforts to help keep roadways safe for all travelers, Sun Prairie
Police officers made 6 OWI arrests during the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign
between December 14th and New Years Day (January 1st, 2026).
While the focus of the initiative was to deter impaired driving, officers also issued citations
during traffic stops for the following:

during traffic stops for the following:
16 - Speeding violations
12 - Operating after revocation or suspension violations
4 - Operating without a driver's license
13 - Vehicle equipment/registration violations
1 - Safety belt violation
28 - Other traffic violations

In addition, officers issued 116 written warnings for various traffic infractions. "The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign lasted just over two weeks, but our officer’s work throughout the year to help make our roadways and communities as safe as possible for everyone,” said Sgt. Jason Lefeber.
