SUN PRAIRIE LAUNCHES NEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM
New data hub streamlines navigation for prospective businesses

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — A new online data hub created by the Sun Prairie Economic Development team will make it easier than ever for prospective businesses to locate their ideal place to set up shop in
Wisconsin. Using digital tools like the site selector make it possible to find properties and existing brickand-mortar retail space available in the 45-acre business park in real time.

“Sun Prairie continues to grow, creating new opportunities for businesses to establish and thrive,” said
Colleen Burke, Sun Prairie Economic Development Specialist. “As a result, we’ve made a concerted effort in the digital world so that development and expansion is only a few clicks or a phone call away for
business owners and developers.”

Completed and launched last month, sunprairie.biz includes features like property site locators, small
business resources, key industries, and provides myriad resources for developers. Key business
categories have also been identified to streamline search and viability, including: area development,
cold storage, tourism & hospitality, healthcare, construction & workforce development, agricultural
technology & vertical farming, and housing development.

One of the more captivating recent projects Sun Prairie Economic Development assisted with is the Old
Country Church. With the help of a Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation’s Community
Development Investment Grant acquired by Sun Prairie Economic Development, Faded Roots Boutique
moved from downtown Sun Prairie to newly renovated Forester Hall in November 2024. Originally built
in 1867 as a Methodist Episcopal Church, The Old Country Church is now home to the boutique shop,
The Roots Cellar in the lower level, and a farm fresh market.

Located in the greater Madison area, just minutes from the Dane County airport and interstates 94 and
39, Sun Prairie is ideally positioned for families and businesses. With UW-Madison and more than 9,000
K-12 students in close proximity, a built-in workforce is just minutes away.
