Monday, April 20, 2026 – The Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand reopening of the Read Before Book Store in its new space inside the Sun Prairie Public Library.

This special occasion marked an exciting new chapter for the beloved volunteer-run bookstore, now located within the newly renovated library, offering an expanded and welcoming space for the community to browse and support literacy initiatives.

Chamber Ambassadors, Board Members, staff, and City officials were joined by friends, family, and dedicated volunteers to commemorate the milestone and show their support.

Operated by the Friends of the Sun Prairie Library, the Read Before Book Store plays an important role in supporting library programs and services through the sale of gently used books. The new location enhances the store’s visibility and accessibility, creating an even more inviting environment for visitors of all ages.

Attendees enjoyed networking, taking tours of the new bookstore space and the newly renovated library, and celebrating the store’s continued impact in the community. The event also highlighted the many volunteers whose time and passion make the bookstore possible.
