PROJECT HOME SELECTED TO ADMINISTER SUN PRAIRIE HOME REPAIR LOAN PROGRAM
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Project Home is proud to announce its partnership with the City of Sun Prairie to administer the community's Home Repair Loan Program. Through this initiative, Project Home will provide essential home repair services, health and safety updates, and accessibility modifications tailored specifically for eligible Sun Prairie homeowners.
Designed to support low-to-moderate-income residents, the Sun Prairie Home Repair Program provides 0% interest, deferred-payment financing options to help homeowners complete critical property repairs.
Unlike a grant, the program operates through structured loan financing secured by a mortgage on the property. There are no up-front costs and no monthly payments required from the homeowner; instead, Project Home directly covers approved contractor costs, with the loan becoming due only when the home is sold or is no longer the primary residence.
"We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Sun Prairie and partner with the city to help residents maintain safe, healthy, and accessible housing," said Wyolanda Singleton, Grants Administrator at Project Home. "This financing option ensures that local homeowners can tackle necessary health and safety improvements without the burden of immediate out-of-pocket expenses or monthly loan bills." “In Sun Prairie, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home,” said Sun Prairie Mayor Steve
Stocker. “As homes age or personal needs change, essential repairs and accessibility modifications can be too costly for homeowners, leaving them to make difficult choices or sacrifices. By partnering with Project Home, we’re helping to remove barriers and empowering residents to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in homes and neighborhoods they love.”
Program Eligibility & Guidelines
To qualify for the Sun Prairie Home Repair Loan Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
