Discovery Storage hosts April 30 ribbon cutting to open company’s fourth location

Discovery Storage, located at 2375 Autumn Blaze Way in Sun Prairie, will host a 4 p.m. April 30th ribbon cutting event to introduce the company’s fourth storage facility to the Sun Prairie community. City of Sun Prairie, Discovery Storage and Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce officials have also been invited to join the public for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

With more than 70,000 sq. ft. of rentable climate-controlled space, the Sun Prairie Discovery Storage facility features 600 storage units in a variety of unit sizes ranging from 5 feet by 5 feet to 10 feet by 30 feet.

“Discovery is bringing state of the art technology and world class service to the rapidly expanding Sun Prairie community,” said Keli Weatherly, Sun Prairie's Discovery store manager. “We are excited to be partners with the businesses and residents of Sun Prairie as we all grow together.”

Currently open for business, Discovery Storage hosts tours during office hours or with an appointment. With secure entry facilitated via a cellular phone application, Discovery offers an enclosed moving bay, contactless move-in, moving supplies available for purchase, parcel locker rental, dolly and flatbed carts to facilitate moving, shipping and postal services on-site and more.

Discovery Storage has three other storage facilities located in Bentonville, Ark.; Gahanna, Ohio and Fitchburg, Wisconsin.

Weatherly said new storage facilities — especially those like the Sun Prairie Discovery location — will typically take up to four years to ramp up to stabilized occupancy depending on the size of the facility and demand level in the community.

“Discovery Storage is excited to provide ‘Space for Life’ for both residential and commercial needs,” Weatherly added, “whether it is a household in transition, a small Etsy business with inventory storage needs, or ample storage for corporate clients who need the security and comfort of climate-controlled space vs. standard warehousing.”
