City of Sun Prairie and Sun Prairie Schools 8th Grade Career Launch to be Rescheduled

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. – The Career Launch event, originally planned to be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 9:30AM-2:30PM at Angell Park Pavilion has been cancelled due to a school district scheduling conflict. The City of Sun Prairie’s Economic Development Department, in partnership with the Sun Prairie Area School District will plan to launch the newly developed Career Exploration Event for all eighth-grade students in fall
2026.

The event is designed to expose students to a variety of career paths, including those that follow apprenticeship, specialized training, or on-the-job learning with a goal is to showcase a broad range of careers—especially in the skilled trades, technical fields, and public-sector roles—to help students understand the many pathways available after graduation. The Career Launch event will be held.
