Capitol Bank Honored to Receive Community Recognition
Madison, WI (September 29, 2026): Capitol Bank, serving the Madison area since 1995, has been named Best Bank and Best Mortgage/Lender in the Madison.com People's Choice Awards. The recognition marks a win in both categories, voted on directly by members of the Madison community. This is the third year in a row Capitol Bank has been recognized with a Madison.com People’s Choice Award.
Madison.com invites readers from across the region to nominate and vote for their favorite local businesses across dozens of categories each year. Being selected by name, and in two categories at once, reflects the relationships Capitol Bank has built with customers across its Madison, Verona, and East Madison branches.
"We're humbled and grateful," said Justin M. Hart, CEO of Capitol Bank. "Awards like this one aren't decided by a panel, they're decided by the community we serve and that makes this honor special. Our team works hard to be here when people need us, whether that's a first-time homebuyer or a small business owner trying to make the numbers work. Being recognized for that, by the community we serve, is the best kind of thank you we could ask for."
Capitol Bank has built its reputation on local decision-making and long-term relationships rather than one-size-fits-all banking. Its mortgage and lending team works directly with borrowers throughout the process, an approach the bank credits for much of its growth in home and business lending across Dane County.
