About Us
Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin (CAC) is a non-profit dedicated to serving low-income households and individuals in Dane, Jefferson, and Waukesha counties. We seek to transform our communities by fostering conditions where everyone can achieve social and economic security. In 2022, we served over 87,000 members of our community by helping them find and maintain housing, access food through distribution to area food pantries and our Double Dollars farmer's market program, and access and receive other social services. CAC has three focus areas: Housing Security, Food Security, and Community Programs. We cater our programs to the specific needs of our communities as identified in our Community Needs Assessment, conducted every three years.
