Bilingual Navigation Coordinator
Position Summary
The Bilingual Navigation Coordinator plays a key role in connecting individuals and families to resources that support housing stability and basic needs. This position coordinates client navigation services, provides housing counseling, and collaborates with community partners to ensure timely, effective assistance. The role also supports program operations and helps improve service delivery systems.

Administration and Program Support
- Assist clients with applications for Sunshine Place direct services, including utility assistance, food pantry access, clothing, beds, housing search support, and referrals to partner agencies.
- Facilitate smooth, supportive transitions for clients between Sunshine Place staff and community partners.
- Develop and implement streamlining procedures to improve client services and program operations.
- Support program evaluation and quality assurance efforts for Sunshine Place programs.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting within the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
- Coordinate with case managers on shared clients, including service transitions and case consultations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community service providers and resource organizations.
- Represent Sunshine Place at community meetings, events, and partner gatherings to strengthen collaboration and awareness of services.
- Support organizational initiatives, including special events and outreach efforts when needed.
Client Services and Housing Navigation
- Provide direct guidance and navigation services to help individuals and families find, obtain, and maintain safe and affordable housing.
- Assist clients eligible for Section 8 vouchers and other subsidized housing programs in maintaining eligibility and completing required follow-up.
- Conduct intake and assessment for families requesting emergency financial assistance.
- Collect and verify required documentation from clients, landlords, utility companies, and other vendors related to assistance requests.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with landlords and housing providers to help preserve housing stability and prevent eviction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with transitional housing programs and housing partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Spanish language proficiency required.
- 2 years of experience working in human services, housing stability programs, case management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of community resources and social service systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals and families experiencing hardship.
- Proficiency maintaining accurate records and documentation in a database or CRM system.
- Background Check: Due to the nature of this position, a background check will be required as part of the application process.
