Account Executive, Madison WI
Viamedia, is seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong organization skills to work with our Madison advertisers. This role focuses on selling advertising across a diverse range of products, including traditional television, various online solutions, advanced advertising solutions, and programmatic television. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional image and a steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction, both internally and externally. The primary responsibility is to execute and achieve expected quotas for both traditional television and digital media. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Accountable for managing multiple budgets, encompassing traditional video and digital solutions.
- Upsell to existing key account advertisers, driving retention and securing new business.
- Identify clients marketing budgets and redirect incremental revenues to Viamedia’s cross-platform solution while safeguarding revenue shares within traditional video and digital products.
- Develop innovative multimedia recommendations integrating both branding and proof-of-performance strategies.
- Conduct weekly reviews of account lists, forecasting, pipeline, and digital metrics with the manager.
- Network within the local community and beyond, emphasizing our digital offerings.
- Attend and complete all aspects of sales training programs.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor that reflects the best of Viamedia.
- Consistently achieve sales performance goals for all revenue lines of responsibility.
- Uphold a strong work ethic representative of the best in Viamedia.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent experience [minimum of 5 years digital sales experience (local/regional/national)].
- One to three years in cable, broadcast (or other media) direct sales experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred knowledge of digital sales and marketing.
- Preferred experience in multi-screen display/video, social & search.
- Adept at creating new revenue opportunities from synergies between traditional video and interactive sales.
- Agency experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and follow-through on projects to completion.
- Strong presenter and communicator with internal and external customers and partners.
- Must communicate clearly and effectively by telephone, in writing and in person.
- Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and current State-minimum Automobile insurance coverage.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Generally, a normal business office environment, with exposure to outside elements while traveling to/from sales and other appointments. Typical activities include sitting, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of approximately 25 pounds.
