Shine Med Spa Ribbon Cutting
Celebrate Shine Med Spa by Attending Their December 1st Ribbon Cutting!
Press Release:
For Two women with four decades of medical experience who have opened Shine Med Spa, located at 2402 Montana Ave., will host a ribbon cutting from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. City of Sun Prairie officials have been invited to attend the event, which includes a scheduled 12:15 p.m. ribbon cutting.
The community is also invited to Shine Med Spa’s grand opening scheduled for Feb. 1. (details to come)
Medical professionals Dr. Amy Wagner, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C and Jill Phillips, MSN, APNP, FNP-C, opened Shine Med Spa in early October with an intent to provide “concierge care” for their guests.
Concierge care involves each guest experiencing a personalized and luxurious med spa experience.
“Jill and I do the patient consults ourselves,” Wagner said. “We listen to our clients' concerns, and then together with them, we apply our knowledge of the tools and products that we’ve vetted, and compose a personalized treatment plan. This allows us to ensure the client’s needs are addressed with the best treatments available. It makes us different from many other med spas — we really focus on an individualized and personalized approach.”
In addition to facials and personalized skin care programs, Shine Med Spa offers a wide array of services including IPL photofacials, facial rejuvenation, hair restoration, Diamond Glow, injectables, body contouring, skin tightening, cellulite reduction, scar revision, micro-needling with and without exosomes/PRP. Shine Med Spa is also developing a medically managed weight loss program that couples medications and body contouring with dietary and healthy lifestyle coaching.
Using the Venus TriBella and Versa laser, Shine Med Spa offers facial treatments that include photo facial, anti-aging and skin resurfacing. “The Venus Laser IPL photofacial, which is intense pulsed light therapy, treats sunspots, age spots, redness and gives clients a clear complexion. IPL can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands and should be completed after a few weeks of no direct sun exposure,” Wagner said. “Fall and winter are best for clients to have this procedure. IPL photofacials are initially recommended to be completed in a package of 3-5 treatments to achieve a clear complexion and then annually to address sun damage that continues to surface.”
Both Wagner and Phillips decided to start Shine Med Spa because they want to give back to the community, similar to Lonnie Roberts, who owned Hair Excellence Salon & Spa for years at the same location. As a member of the Sun Prairie Lions Club, Roberts gave back to the community by supporting the Sun Prairie Community Help Organization, which is now the Spirit of Giving program operated by Sunshine Place in Sun Prairie.
Like Roberts’ Hair Excellence, Shine will also be sponsoring families through the Spirit of Giving program and are planning a silent auction during the grand re-opening to benefit Sunshine Place and local entities.
“We want to support and give back to our community,” Wagner said. "We also plan to do medical relief trips and offer scholarships to Sun Prairie and area graduates. Allowing them to partake in that experience will aid in planting seeds of humanitarianism in our youth.” “When clients come to us, they come to Sun Prairie,” Wagner said. “When they choose to work with us, they are supporting their community. We went into medicine wanting to help people, our med spa offers an avenue to help people shine with confidence. I think these are key foundational pillars that our community should know about Shine Med Spa.”
