SCORE - Minding Your Business: Writing a Business Plan
Many entrepreneurs have a business idea, but don’t know how to get it going. Others launch a new business before developing a business plan or strategy. A business plan is often required for funding, but developing the plan creates a solid foundation for a new business.
By the end of the session, learners will be able to:
- Describe components of a business plan
- Develop tools for product development and customer discovery
- Identify strategic strategies for entrepreneurs
About the presenter:
LaToya Bates is a social entrepreneur, business consultant, developer, and faith leader. She focuses on meeting the diverse business needs of marginalized groups, and works to promotes entrepreneurship with women, youth, the LGBTQIA+ community and persons of color. LaToya is a graduate of Alverno College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Management with Adult Education and Psychology as well as a Master of Education with an emphasis on Organizational Development. She and her family live in Dodge County, Wisconsin
