The Facilitator for this Workshop is Brendan O'Meara. Brendan has done many things his career, from biochemistry to accounting and IT project management. In many ways, the jobs that provided him with the most satisfaction were in construction, because he could see the fruits of his labor at the end of every day. Nothing makes you feel better than to stand up at the end of a long day, covered in dirt and sweat and dust, looking over a completed project and knowing that you had a hand in building it.

In a similar way, that what Brendan loves most about community banking. He gets a chance to see and feel a connection to the "real world". He can provide guidance and funding to help a small business prosper. That successful business will help to serve as the foundation for the American economy. Perhaps more importantly, it might put food on the table for the families who live in his community, or it might create a family legacy when it is passed down from grandparents to grandchildren. As a community banker, Brendan helps his friends and neighbors build small businesses that are locally grown.
