SCORE - An Overview of Intellectual Property
Intellectual Property has become critically important in the information age as a way to protect brand names, creative content, inventions, and secret processes and formulae. At this Webinar, we will discuss the various forms of intellectual property such as trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets and differentiate among them. We will also look at how each is protected, and what each form protects and doesn't protect.
The facilitator for this workshop is SCORE Fox Valley Member and Master Mentor Fran Zollers. Fran is a Professor Emerita of Law & Public Policy in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. She has also taught as a visiting professor at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University, and was a visiting scholar at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Her teaching areas include intellectual property, technology law, entrepreneurship law, and business organizations. As a SCORE volunteer Fran mentors clients, presents workshops throughout the Fox Valley, and currently chairs the Training Committee.
