Rock The Block With Habitat For Humanity

On Saturday, May 20 we’ll be kicking off the week with a community gathering featuring kid’s activities, a free dumpster, shredding services and food vendors. Non-profits and service groups can join the fun by having a table to offer information or an activity from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tables are free and the event will be outside  For more information or to register your group, contact Erin at erieser@habitatdane.org or call 608.445.9353.

During Rock the Block, Habitat will be providing high-quality and low-cost exterior home repairs. Habitat volunteers, overseen by trained professionals, will perform the needed work and Habitat will offer 0% financing to qualifying residents to help pay for the repairs. Exterior specialties include painting and powerwashing; landscaping and yard clean-up; gutter cleaning and repairs; free dumpster disposal services and large item pick-ups. Rock the Block is a first come, first serve project, and Habitat hopes to complete repairs on a dozen homes in the neighborhoods during that week.
