Professional Development Education Series-Session Two

Your Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Madison College is making available to members (and non-members) the opportunity to enhance and develop the leadership skills of managers, supervisors, high-performers and those desiring a leadership position.  Key topics and competencies to be covered include the essentials of leadership, effective communication, team building & teamwork, managing change and resolving conflict.  These courses may be taken individually or toward certification.  Should a participant choose to complete all seven sessions in the series, they will earn a Professional Development Educational Series digital badge.

• 2/28: Team-building & Teamwork
• 3/28: Managing Difficult Conversations & Resolving Conflict
• 4/25: Managing Change

October Session Description:  Tuesday, October 25th, 8:30am-12:00pm;  Unity Point Meriter - 4200 Savannah Drive, DeForest

Understanding & Applying the Essential Skills & Practices of Leadership – As an overall collaboration of (standard) leadership resources and practices, this session examines the practical behaviors and experiences associated with leading individuals and teams in day-to-day operational functions. These essentials serve as the foundation for more advanced applications of leadership practices, incorporating the various styles of leadership, applications of appropriate leadership traits, and the flexibility necessary to recognize the individual needs and talents of the leader and his/her reporting domain.

Fees:  $99.00 Chamber Members;  $149 Non-members
