NutKracken from Beatrix Productions Releases Campy Circus Fun with a Big Holiday Heart (and Yes, a Giant Squid) MADISON, WI - Beatrix Productions Presents: “NutKracken! The Holiday Classic with a Circus Twist,” Sunday, December 10th, at 3:00 PM. This performance will be one show only, at the new Sun Prairie West Performing Arts Center, 2850 Ironwood Drive, Sun Prairie, WI, 53590. Follow Clara as she journeys under the sea with stiltwalkers, aerial dancers, and flow artists.

This campy and playful interpretation of The Nutcracker is a fun showcase of circus arts, eye-popping costumes, and original choreography created by the performers. Featuring backdrops, one-of-a-kind steel apparatus, and never before seen costumes made by local artist William Grant Turnbull of Paradigm Forge, this family friendly show is suitable for all ages. Several pieces involve LED lighting for props, aerial apparatus, or costumes. While there will not be fast strobing lighting effects, use your best discretion if you are a photosensitive viewer.

Music for this show will be a variety of classical versions of this beloved Tchaikovsky score, such as Waltz of the Snowflakes, Russian Dance, and Waltz of the Sugar Plum Fairy. This show will run about an hour, with a brief intermission.

Tickets are $22 for adults, and $16 for youth 12 & under or any Sun Prairie High School Student (with ID). Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the show.
