2022 Sweet Corn Festival * Corn Serving Shelter Worker Application
Butter Corn Position (12 people needed per day):
Requirements/Guidelines:
*must be 15 to 20 years of age
*Volunteer Position (work permit not required)
*hours are 11:30am to building close and clean (approx.. 8:30pm)
*must help clean the corn building and check out with a supervisor before departure
*volunteers may or may not be scheduled both days to allow for more participation
*previous volunteers are given first consideration if needed to fill an additional day
*must take breaks in coordination with a supervisor
*poor work habits will result in dismissal
Cleaning/Garbage Detail (6 people needed per day):
Requirements/Guidelines:
*must be 16 years of age or older
*pay is $100 per full day
*working both days in recommended
*a work permit is required for under 18
*includes lifting and dumping garbage cans filled with corn husks
*required hours are from 11:30am until the building is cleaned and closed
*must clean the corn building and check out with a supervisor before departure
*poor work habits will result in dismissal
