Social Media in 2019: Doing It Right
Social media is a critical tool to reach your target market, but do you have the right strategy? Many small and medium sized businesses struggle to develop a social media plan and successfully implement it. Whether you are a seasoned social media professional or just starting out, you can learn something new in this session. We’ll explore best practices for developing your social media strategy. We will also review and evaluate key tools that can help you pinpoint your target market. We’ll discuss developing shareable social content as well as social media pitfalls that can be your marketing downfall. We will also explore key mobile considerations and how they impact your social media plan. You will leave with a checklist of hands-on action items you can implement right away to improve your results.
Presented by: Kristin Uttech - who has spent over 20 years in leadership positions within corporate marketing. She spent a large part of her career at Penda Corporation as their Director of Marketing Communications where she developed strategic communications plans for current and emerging business units. Kristin is now a Marketing Professor for Madison College. While at Madison College, she has been instrumental in launching both the Social Media Certificate and the Digital Marketing Diploma. She has developed a wide variety of classes on Innovation, Social Media, and Mobile Marketing. Kristin also provides consulting for small businesses looking for strategic direction on their mobile and social media strategy.
