The Grounds Guys schedule June 6 ribbon cutting in Sun Prairie

Sun Prairie Mayor Paul Esser is scheduled to join Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce officials and ambassadors, as well as the general public, when The Grounds Guys cut the ribbon to officially open their doors at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 at 701 Commercial Ave. #2 in Sun Prairie.

A full-service grounds care company, The Grounds Guys’ established systems allow the delivery of industry-leading lawn care and landscape solutions to commercial and residential clients.

“Built on a family tradition of caring, we are driven by a passion to exceed customer expectations and consistently deliver client satisfaction,” said Allie Hielke, who owns The Grounds Guys along with her husband, David.

Not new to business ownership, the Hielkes were attracted to The Grounds Guys because of their value alignment and love for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. The Hielkes say they, along with The Grounds Guys, are driven by a shared vision of creating a thriving business that positively impacts communities while allowing them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

With their combined skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to their family and community, the Hielkes are eager to make a meaningful difference through The Grounds Guys.

“Our ideal customer is the active family that wants their yard to be beautiful and maintained but are too busy to do it themselves and anyone that needs expertise because they don’t know how or want to do it themselves,” Allie Hielke said.

“The Grounds Guys was attractive to us because of their quality and commitment to the customer. We have really high expectations for ourselves, and being a part of an organization that operates at that same level was critical,” she added. “Once we heard The Grounds Guys believed in the value of CARE (Customer First, Attitude, Respect, Enjoy life in the process), we knew we aligned and had to be apart of it.”

With many other companies available, the Hielkes believe customers should hire The Grounds Guys because they care deeply about the experience and service provided to every customer.

The high school sweethearts have two kids, Harper and Weston, and two English Labs, Rip and Roy, with many hobbies centered around the outdoors, so they’ve seen the wrong kind of grounds crews over the years.

“We show up in our well labeled truck — in professional uniforms,” Allie Hielke added. “Our equipment is clean and well maintained to provide the best service to the customer. We are friendly and you can count on us to show up when we say we will be there.”
