Bank of Sun Prairie Stadium hosts College Football 3rd Annual “Culver’s Isthmus Bowl” on November 18, 2023 UW-Platteville vs. Augustana College SUN PRAIRIE, WI. (November 15, 2023) – The excitement of the college football postseason returns to Sun Prairie on November 18 with the third annual Culver’s Isthmus Bowl featuring the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (6-4) vs. Augustana College (8-2) of Rock Island, IL. Kickoff is at 2:05 PM CST.

Tickets are on sale now at www.isthmusbowl.com. Ticket price is $15. Children under 6 and adults over 65 are FREE. Both teams have strong fan bases and are expected to travel to Sun Prairie and enjoy the restaurants and shopping opportunities while in town. “The Culver’s Isthmus Bowl was created to give these young athletes a chance to experience the excitement of a postseason game,” said Mike Shaw, Founder and Bowl Game Director. “Our third year promises a great atmosphere with our renewed partners; the Sun Prairie Area School District, Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Commission.” “We are thrilled to participate in the Culver’s Isthmus Bowl again this season against the CCIW.

Last year’s event was a success in every aspect imaginable. We are thankful to Mike Shaw and all the corporate partners for making this event possible,” said WIAC Commissioner Danielle Harris. “The second annual Isthmus Bowl exceeded expectations and I know it was a great experience for the student-athletes of Wash U. The CCIW looks forward to this year's game and a long-term relationship with Bowl Game and the Sun Prairie community,” said Maureen A. Harty, Executive Director, College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. “College football fandom is huge in our community,” remarked Jamie Patrick,Vice President of Madison Area Sports Commission (MASC). “We are especially excited we can show young football players in Dane County that there are pathways to college sports that are fun and meaningful.”

“The SPASD is excited to host this exciting event again. We believe it's an exceptional opportunity to showcase our facility and provide the space and place for talented athletes to compete at the culmination of their season,” shared Brad Saron, Superintendent of Sun Prairie Area Schools.

“Having Culver’s involved in the first and second Isthmus Bowl last year brought a smile to my face when I learned about the opportunity. I never dreamt that one day we would be sponsoring a College Football Bowl game,” said Culvers CEO Craig Culver. “After a great game last year and a great response in attendance, we are proud to sponsor the 2023 Isthmus Bowl in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin between The WIAC Conference and The CCIW Conference.”

This year’s Isthmus Bowl will include an invite-only banquet at Sun Prairie West High School the night before the game to give both teams the chance to have an evening of sportsmanship before the competition.
