DESCRIPTION:A successful Non Profit Organization requires strong and effective\n\nleadership from the Board of Directors. However \, all it takes is\n\non toxic\, underperforming Board Member to derail all of the\n\nefforts put forth by the rest of the Board. If a Board Member is\n\nnot engage or contributing to the greater good of the organization\,\n\nit may be time to gently nudge the board member to step down\n\nor in an extreme case termination. Yes\, volunteers can be\n\nterminated. Even if you have not experienced the need to\n\nfire a Board Member\, understanding the process and an\n\nalternative approach will benefit you and your Board in the\n\nfuture if a situation should arise . This session will outline\n\nwhen it is appropriate to fire a Board Member\, the process\n\nto follow when terminating a Board Member\, and alternative\n\nways to avoid the dreaded task of stating "You're Fired"\n\n\n\nThe Facilitator for this Event is Dr Susan Neustrom. Susan\n\nis a SCORER Member\, and her expertise is in the Non Profit\n\nSector from leading leading several Non Profit Organization\n\nas CEO\, and serving on the Board of Directors with extensive\n\nexperience in change management programs\, operations\,\n\nstaff development\, capacity building\, fundraising\, grant writing\,\n\nboard development and relations\, marketing\, and communication.\n\nHer expertise is in Fund Raising.
