\n\nDoug Safford has spent 40 years in enterprise technology\, most of it teaching large\, slow organizations to build software fast. He co-founded CompoZed Labs at Allstate and founded XP Labs at CVS Health\, where he grew the practice from a one-person idea to 400+ people shipping cloud products &mdash\; with zero production defects across a four-year stretch. His work has been profiled in The New York Times and Fortune\, he holds a U.S. patent\, and he began his career as a nuclear engineer in the Navy submarine force.
\n\nToday he advises companies and clients on adopting AI &mdash\; how to put it to work rather than just talk about it &mdash\; spanning strategy\, application development\, and hands-on tooling. He has built and published an app in the ChatGPT marketplace\, and through SCORE he mentors small business owners on using these tools practically.
