Owner Gina Gaspardo opened up a Board & Brush a year and a half ago in Sun Prairie at 104 E Main Street. The idea came out of a Girls Night In where they made custom wood signs just before the holidays. When they posted their finished products to social media\, almost immediately\, requests came in from people who wanted to make one themselves. Gina will be at our meeting telling us how this DIY store works and if you're interested\, how you can sign up and make your own. Your project is completed in one workshop. Classes are open to all ages\, men and women and takes roughly two and a half to three hours. They offer open classes as well as private bookings for corporate\, team-building or customer-appreciation events\, bachelor or bachelorette parties or birthday parties. Also once a month\, Board & Brush holds a parent/child workshop. Could be Grandma/grandchild workshop. Gina says the hardest part for new customers\, is deciding what to make! Our inspirational speaker will be Bobbie Furr from Coal Valley IL speaking on "Loved Starved Love Satisfied". Furr's story touches on divorce and remarriage including God's healing touch on marriage\, as well as her sons' involvement in God's plan. Furr is an elementary education music teacher\, organist\, choir director and piano teacher. She is also a literacy instructor for first grade. She is married with two married sons and six grandchildren. She will be sharing a song with us as she tells her story.
